PMBoK
The Project Management Body of knowledge. The knowledge and practices "generally recognized as good practice on most projects most of the time" as published by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
PRINCE2
PRojects IN Controlled Environments. A method that supports some aspects of project
management.
Product Based Planning
A technique leading to a comprehensive plan based on creation and delivery of products.
Programme
A portfolio of projects planned and organised in a co-ordinated way.
Project
A temporary organisation created for the pupose of delivering one or more business
products according to a specified business case.
Project Lifecycle
This term is usually taken to mean the time from the start-up of a project through to the handover of the product to the customer.
Project Manager
A person given the authority and responsibility to manage a project on a day-to-day basis.
Project Plan
A high-level plan showing the major products of a project, the costs, and when they will be delivered.
